Once the homeowner closes on their loan, it becomes the affiliate’s responsibility to service the mortgage. Even if you have a third party service your mortgages, you should know the basics to insure they are doing their job correctly. This session will discuss all aspects of mortgage servicing, including escrow administration and rules, treatment of payments and late fees, delinquency management, the affiliates’ role in hazard insurance claims and important dates and deadlines.
